Abstract
Spinoza, accepted one of the most important philosophers in the 17 st century, is considered the pioneer of modern-day Biblical criticism by researchers thanks to his work called Teological-Political Treatise. In this work, Spinoza examines the Old Testament from many perspectives and in this context, he criticizes the traditional Judaism's understanding of the Bible and puts forward his ideas on how the Bible should be read and understood. Although not as much as the Old Testament and Judaism, there are discourses about Jesus, the New Testament and other elements of Christianity both in this work and other works of Spinoza. In particular, Spinoza's thoughts about Jesus and comparisons with the prophets of the Old Testament are quite conspicuous. The purpose of our article is to present Spinoza's understanding of Jesus, the discourse of other elements of Christianity, and to examine the reasons behind these ideas.

Abstract
17. yy’ın en önemli filozoflarından biri kabul edilen Spinoza, Teolojik-Politik İnceleme adlı eseri sayesinde araştırmacılar tarafından modern dönem Kutsal Kitap eleştirisinin öncüsü kabul edilmektedir. Spinoza bu eserinde Eski Ahit’i pek çok açıdan incelemekte ve bu bağlamda geleneksel Yahudiliğin Kutsal Kitap anlayışını eleştirerek Kutsal Kitap’ın nasıl okunması ve anlaşılması gerektiğine dair fikirlerini öne sürmektedir. Eski Ahit ve Yahudilik kadar olmasa da Spinoza’nın hem bu eserinde hem de diğer eserlerinde İsa’ya, Yeni Ahit’e ve Hıristiyanlığa ait diğer öğelerle ilgili söylemler yer almaktadır. Özellikle Spinoza’nın İsa hakkındaki düşünceleri ve Eski Ahit peygamberleri ile yaptığı kıyaslamalar oldukça dikkat çekicidir. Makalemizin amacı Spinoza’nın İsa anlayışını, Hıristiyanlığın diğer öğelerine dair geliştirdiği söylemleri ortaya koymak ve bu fikirlerin arka planında yatan nedenleri incelemektir.
