Değişim Sürecinde Toplumsal Değerlerin Eğitiminde Din Eğitimi

Religious Education in the Education of Social Values in the Process of Change The change phenomenon is one of the essential facts of life. Rather than leaving or ignoring the values in mentioned change, they ought to be re-interpreted and re-shaped according to current conditions. For this reason, it is a necessity that values must consistently be reviewed in order to provide them survive and keep them alive. Although revising the values does not mean to change them into other values. Otherwise, the values would fall into danger, then they would remain inactive, so living and surviving the values may not be possible. Likewise, the prominence of universal values must not be ignored in updating and enriching the local values. Religious education is the most important instrument for education and permanence of the social values in the process of change. This education is provided by Religious Culture and Ethics lessons in formal education. By this lesson, the goal is to make students internalise the social values at cognitive, affective and behaviour levels. In this article, the role of religious education in updating the local values within the frame of universal values will be analysed

Değişim olgusu hayatın zorunlu gerçeklerinden birisidir. Söz konusu değişim içerisinde değerlerin terki ya da göz ardı edilmesinden ziyade, onların günün ihtiyaçlarına göre yeniden yorumlanması ve şekillendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle değerlerin yaşatılabilmesi ve canlı tutulabilmesi için, sürekli gözden geçirilmesi bir gerekliliktir. Değerleri revize etmek, onları değiştirmek anlamına gelmemektedir. Aksi halde değerler, tehlikeye girecek ve yaşanması ve uygulanması mümkün olmayan atıl bir duruma düşecektir. Ayrıca yerel değerlerin zenginleştirilmesi ve güncellenmesinde evrensel değerlerin önemi göz ardı edilmemelidir. Değişim sürecinde toplumsal değerlerin eğitimini ve devamını mümkün kılan vasıtaların başında din eğitimi gelir. Örgün eğitimde bu etkinlik, Din Kültürü ve Ahlâk Bilgisi dersleri ile yapılır. Bu derste öğrencilerin toplumsal değerleri, bilgi, duyuş ve davranış düzeylerinde özümsemesi amaçlanır. Bu makalede, toplumsal değerlerin evrensel değerler çerçevesinde güncellenmesinde din eğitiminin rolü konusu incelenecektir
