Since some misuse leads to ethical violations, improvements have been made to the DOI request, activation and addition of articles to the issue.
For journals that receive DOI from the system with DergiPark Sponsorship:
1. DOI request will be made for the article that is ready to be assigned to the issue.
2. The DOI determined by the system will be added to the article metadata but will not be forwarded to Crossref.
3. The article will be added to the issue.
4. When the issue to which the article is assigned changes from “not published” to “published”, “early pub” or “forthcoming issue”, the DOI information of all articles will be sent to the Crossref database and will be valid.
5. An article published in the early pub or forthcoming issue will not be removed. If the status of the article published in these issues is changed to "ready for an issue” and is not assigned to another issue, the system will not allow the journal to publish a new issue.
For journals uploading archives:
1. It will be checked whether the DOI information added to the article metadata is valid and if it is valid, the system will save it.
2. If a valid DOI belonging to another article is entered, it will not be allowed to be edited by the editorial office.
3. An article published in the early pub or forthcoming issue will not be removed. If the status of the article published in these issues is changed to "ready for an issue” and it is not assigned to another issue, the system will not allow the journal to publish a new issue.
