THE EVALUATION ABOUT THE INTERPRETATIONS/EXEGESIS OF THE VERSE OF THE SURAH MUDDATHTHIR (THE ENFOLDED ONE) 74/4. -THE PERSPECTIVE OF "THE TEXT -FACT" CONFORMITY AND "THE ETHIC OF INTERPRETATION"

The verse of The Surah Muddaththir (The Enfolded one) " ,.w cJ,>.;,/Ve siyabeke fetahhir/ And thy garments(thiy.b) purify " that in the Holy Qur'an, is typical example, relating to "the text-fact conformily". This verse has been interpreted in two different meaning by the classical and contemporary commentators. According to fırst" interpretation, this verse means "thy garments(thiyab) purify" as litteral/real meaning. In respect to second interpretation, the verse means "And thine inner self purify or be away from the sin," as aHegorically. We evaluated these interpretations in this artiele. In addition to, we emphasized deficiencies of translations of this verse. Especially, based on prejudicially interpretations. Becauseı this verse may be interpreted both litteral and allegorical meaning. Consequentlyı from perspective of "The Ethic of Interpretation"ı the verse should not be interpreted in prejudicially.
