The aim of this article is to criticize the thesis by Mustafa Öztürk, titled “Koranic Language and Rhetoric”, which attracts attention through its some incorrect discussion of Koranic studies. In that thesis, it is possible to see many topics dealing with some Koranic verbal, semantic (pertaining to meaning) and rhetorical structures, which can not go beyond repetition of previous studies. In addition, some scholars of both old and new generations have been mentioned in a covert way, namely in a sarcastic and slighting manner and have been referred to through some borrowed information, and one of the more worrisome aspects of this thesis is that while the Mutazila were highly praised, the Sunnis were despised. On the other hand, a kind of a biased observation has been generally used as a method in the study
