Ahl al-Bayt is the family of The Prophet. There are both political and religious sides of exposing tle love for the Prophet’s family. But the love which exists in the belief of Alawi-Baktashi seems far away from the political aims. This love is expressed in the literature in several forms. One of them is the tercüman/interpreter. Actually these literary forms are the texts of a kind of prayers and they resemble gülbanks. It seems that the differences of tercüman from gülbank are that tercümans are expressed individually and not loudly. To pray for the Family of the Prophet and to curse for their enemies; to say ‘In the name of Allah’ and the greetings for the Prophet and for the individuals of the Family; and to say other religious elements in the prayer texts which are dominant in every corner of the Alawi-Baktash life shows that it is love for the Family that lies in the base of these texts. But it must be said that this way of expressing the love for the Family is traditional at the same time; so that it is expressed by them
