Abstract

This study researched the eloquence of hadiths in Arabic language and literature sources, like comparison and metaphor and borrowing and allusion. Prophet Muhammad grew in Arabian society which was at a high level in point of language. He said in his two hadiths: "My God trained me and improved my education beautifully; I am donated short, concise and pithy expressions." Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said the best words which the Arab poets had chanted were this line of Labid, beginning: "Beware! Everything except Allah is perishable." He did not speak unnecessarily. He used to begin and finish his talk clearly. Â'isah says that the Prophet didn't used to speak fast like other people but distinctly, pronouncing every word separately so that the person who sat near him could remember his words.
