IS IT DIALOGUE OR DA‘WAH? AN EVALUATION OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S PRACTICES WHICH ARE PRESENTED AS MODEL OF INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE
Abstract
In this study, we have firstly explained what the essential character of inter-religious
dialogue is. Afterwards, by evaluating prophet Muhammad’s some
practices which are presented as examples of inter-religious dialogue we have tried
to point out that these examples should have been understood in the context of Islamic
da‘wah and Muhammad is not a model for an inter-religious dialogue.
