This article is on Anatolian Alevism, according to the views of Fuat Koprulu.
Having been one of the first to study this subject matter in the early years of the
republic of Turkey, Koprulu provides very insightful and objective insights. Turkish
history and Turkish beliefs before and after Islam are discussed. Central figures
such as Ahmad Yasawi and Yasawiyya are also discussed. The history of the various
sects are discussed. They are the history of religious synretism in Asia minor; the
migration of the Turks from Central Asia to Asia Minor that lasted 4 centuries; the
formation of Sufism in Asia Minor; Heterodox sects such as Haydariyya, Kalendariyya
and Babaîs; and such heretical actions; the bektashi order's formation, as well
as the Hadji Bektash Wali. Finally, I made my explainations and critics about Koprulu's
views and then pointed out to my evalations on this matter
